1. Overview

1.1 General Notes

u Irregular  under any circumstances may cause injury to personnel and instruments, please observe all electrical and equipment safety codes.The product can only be installed indoors and avoid any UV sources.

u Please make sure that the power supply is disconnected before repairing or disassembling electrical components!

u Before turning on the power, please make sure all external wiring is correct, any short circuit may cause the display data loss or program damage.

u All flameproof paths of Ex "db" and "tb" protected terminal box specified in the IEC 60079-1 shall only be repaired by the manufacturer.

u The external grounding cable connect to the external earthing bolts shall be provided by the end user, the minimum section area of external grounding cable shall be at least 4mm2.

 

1.2 Safety Code

The air flow transmitters shall be used indoors and avoid any UV sources.

The end user should provide additional clamping of the cables to ensure that pulling and twisting is not transmitted to the terminations.

The colour used for intrinsically safe cable shall be light blue.  

To ensure electrical safety and explosion-proof requirements, the instrument housing must be connected to the protective ground of the instrument work site, the grounding resistance must not be greater than 1Ω (ohms), and the instrument housing must not be connected to the zero line (N).

This YGM305 series air flow transmitters are designed as flameproof protection, intrinsic safety protection and dust exclusion by enclosure. They conform with the standard EN IEC 60079-0:2018, EN 60079-1:2014, EN 60079-11:2012 and EN 60079-31:2014.

  

 1.3 Introduction

YGM305-201LDXXXGP or YGM305-201LDXXXAP  is a series of explosion-proof air flow measuring products specially designed for explosive hazardous areas, which conforms to PLd functional safety certification and ATEX explosion-proof certification. The probe part of YGM305 is made of diamond uniform velocity measuring piece and stainless steel measuring piece. The rhombus measuring piece can measure the average wind speed at multiple points, and is suitable for accurate measurement of air volume. The measuring piece itself has a design of purging and anti-pollution, which ensures good durability even in the environment with serious dust pollution. Stainless steel probe rod is suitable for measuring the air volume of small air duct. The shell is made of cast aluminum alloy with IP65 protection grade, which can prevent dust from entering, thus effectively realizing safety and explosion protection.

YGM305 series air flow transmitters are applied to measure the air flowrate in the explosive atmosphere. The intrinsically safe control circuit of two And they are supplied by the isolated safety barrier, which is installed in the terminal box in The enclosure material of probes are stainless steel or aluminium alloy.

(1) The measuring piece should be installed in the straight section of the duct. Because the wind speed at the bend of the duct is not uniform, it will lead to a significant reduction in the accuracy of measurement.

(2) the distance between the windward side of the measurement piece and the bend should be more than 2~5 times the diameter of the duct, and the distance between the backwind side and the bend should be more than 2 times the diameter of the duct. If the conditions can not be met, the installation location is selected to ensure that the windward side of the straight pipe section than the straight section of the windward side of the long.

(3) The measuring piece should be installed in the center of the air duct.

(4) before the installation of the measurement piece, need to punch a through hole in the air duct, the two holes must be in a straight line, to ensure that the measurement piece can pass through the two holes. The hole diameter is to take the maximum diameter of the measurement piece for drilling - that is, the distance between the two diamond angles of the measurement piece, the installation requires the first hole and the last hole of the measurement piece of the midpoint and the duct center position coincide.

(5) If the duct is column type, it is installed on the diameter of the duct. If the duct is rectangular, it is necessary to determine the drilling position by level or using the distance positioning method. For example: the distance between the two flanges of the duct is 4m and the height is 2m, the position of 2m from the flange and 1m from the top is measured by the scale, which is the center hole of the duct.

(6) Mounting direction. There is a "+" mark engraved on the location of the measuring piece/probe. Installation, the "+" direction installed in the windward side, the first flange \ ferrule installation up to determine the sensor installation direction. Flange installation requirements, rounded corners horizontal to the wind direction, diamond angle perpendicular to the wind direction.

(7) The installation of the flange \ ferrule must be precise. Once the flange \ ferrule is determined, the sensor can be installed.

2.4 Description of the diamond-shaped test piece blowing.

This product is mainly used for the measurement of clean gas flow rate, but also can be used for the measurement of a small amount of turbid gas, such as: the presence of a small amount of liquid and steam in the pipeline, a small amount of sediment, adhesion, etc. When used to measure turbid gas, the problem of clogging of the collection hole of the uniform velocity measurement piece may occur, so the piece needs to be purged periodically, the purging method is as follows.

(1) Disconnect the equal velocity measuring piece from the end of the sensor and the lead pipe connection.

(2)Connect the two outlet leadpipes to the air compressor forBlowing to remove the contaminants that have accumulated in the test piece.as shown in Figure 2; in environments where air compressors are not available Contaminants can also be expelled directly by blowing through the mouth, as shown in Figure 3.

 

(3) the top of the clean blowing measurement piece tighten the screw, the pressure tube to the sensor positive and negative pressure port end, to complete the process of uniform velocity measurement piece blowing, the instrument can be used normally.
